This course is suitable for anyone who would like to have a basic child and baby First Aid understanding. Whether you are a parent, parent to be, grand parent, auntie, uncle, brother, sister, babysitter or carer. This training really is perfect for everyone.
This workshop will teach you how to deal confidently with accidents, emergencies and illnesses involving babies and children.
The course looks at:
Treatment of an unconscious child and the fast effective use of the Recovery Position
Child and baby Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Bleeding and Shock
Choking recognition and treatment
Head injuries
Fever
Febrile Seizures
Drowning
Burns
Anaphylaxis
Meningitis

Our classes are small and friendly in a relaxed environment… no tests or emarassing role play. This training is not certified but if required we can email you a certificate of attendance.

Anaphylaxis First Aid
This course teaches how to respond to and avoid an anaphylaxis reaction. This severe reaction usually occurs after someone with an allergy is exposed to the substance they are allergic to. Anaphylaxis is a medical emergency that is potentially life threatening, requiring immediate treatment.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is for anyone who needs training in how and when to use an auto injector for the immediate treatment of anaphylaxis. Workplace first aiders who have to deal with those prone to anaphylaxis should also attend.
Course content
This course primarily covers the prevention, recognition and treatment of severe allergic reaction including the use of auto-injectors. It includes
• Allergic reaction recognition
• Communication and casualty care
• Care of an unconscious casualty including primary survey
• Auto-injector use
• CPR

A certificate will be awarded on successful completion of the entire course
Certificates are valid for one year.
